Fettucinni Carbonara

Ingredients

  • Pasta - Fettuccine 250 g

  • Ham - Prosciutto 100 g

  • Egg 2

  • Cream - heavy 15 ml

  • Cheese - Parmesan 80 ml

  • Cheese - Romano 50 ml

  • Pepper 1 to taste

Preparation

  1. Put a large pot of water on to boil.
  2. Slice the Prosciutto into strips.
  3. Break the eggs into a bowl, add the cream and pepper to taste and beat together.
  4. Measure out the cheeses.
  5. When the water is boiling add the pasta.
  6. Put a frying pan on a medium burner and fry the prosciutto a bit to make crispy.
  7. Turn the burner off and add the egg mixture, letting it heat but not cook to much. Remove from the heat if necessary.
  8. Drain the pasta and return to the pot.
  9. Stir in the egg/prosciutto mixture. Add the cheeses and mix well.
